The Whistlestop - American, Country, Rock and Roll, Southern Gospel music

3/12/2008 - Tir Na Nog - Mar. 20

We had a swell practice last night... Jim Crew, and Scotty Miller joined us to sharpen up for Tir Na Nog.  You all have no idea how good those two cats make us sound. It's amazing.

We're geared up for doing 2 sets next Thurs. We're gonna play everything off the new record, plus a couple from the next one, and a couple covers.

Speaking of the record, we head back into the studio This Weekend to clean things up and do final mixes! Very excited to watch John Plymale work his magic once again.
Mastering has been pushed back to Monday March 31st. So if all goes according to this plan the record will have been started on Feb 1st and finished on March 31st. Pretty crazy.

We're looking forward to finally playing live again, it has been a while. If you're coming out to Tir Na Nog, you may want to get there a bit early (9pm or so) because I think a good number of folks are planning to come out. We'll play promptly at 10pm. (The following day is Good Friday, so maybe you have off work like we do! that'll make the late night a bit easier to swallow.)

see you there!
