Well, it's the tail end of day 4.
We're finishing up b/g vocals on If you gonna sing, and Will Henry.
Jim Crew just destroyed all his Hammond parts that he had left to do, then he rolled out. I promise you don't want to miss seeing him play with us on Mar. 20th at Tir Na Nog.
Geoff Wood was kicking it w/ us today, taking pictures, trying to get album art under way here soon. We hope to leave today with rough mixes. Listen to them for a few weeks, let em simmer a bit, then get back up w/ John Plymale and mix it down for real. Everyone's kinda weary at this point, and our heads are chock full of music, so it might be next week before we even know which way is up. But I think i can safely say we're walkin out of here with a solid piece of music making.
Oh yeah, and Josh Steadman has been w/ us every day. (can't remember if I said that in an earlier post) He's been gracious to document this train-wreck w/ his super DV camera that cost more than my car. It'll be amazing to see how he edits down our hilarity into a watchable span of cinema, but i think he can do it. Not sure how his final product will reach the masses, but be sure it will see daylight. somehow. and it's largly pretty funny stuff. I'm gonna try and convince him to shoot the Release show! That would be a nice end to the documentary.
Hey, i'm gonna go listen to Rob and Peewee knock it out for a bit.
They're sounding like the dirtiest all-white gospel mens choir you've never heard.
Can't wait for you to hear
